The Finished Product!!! I messed alot of stuff up, but for my first painting I am super proud of it. :)

Yesterday in class I started to paint the Vase. We worked on the reflections and the darker areas, but still need to go back and put in the really light areas. I don't think I'm quite done with mine but it's a start.

Gilcrease Visit

As we went through and looked at all the different kinds of impressionists paintings it was really interesting to see all of the different techniques artists use. Some of the pictures I didn't really care for, the ones that had alot of rough texture and were dark I usually didn't care for, but there were some exceptions . I really enjoys the paintings with alot going on in them or had some paint caked on, like the picture of NYC in the snow. I know this is girly but I love the ones with flowers or just beautiful pictures of nature, like the one wit the Apples blossums or the huge painting with the mist. So over all I found it interesting and fun to look at all of the different artists work.

The books have had some finishing touches and some shadows added. Also we worked on the bowl to make it more realistic. I added a few more things to the pitcher and bowl but not much

More color :). I shaded the pitcher and tried to just see it as light and dark areas. also the picture behind the painting I abstractly put in.

We added in some dark background and abstractly drew in the flowers to hold there place.

We started to add the first layer of color and began to fix a few drawing mistakes
